Driving in the village

The days the Fiesta is being held, a special scheme is set up to keep traffic through the village under control, which basically means the road to the village is closed from 17h00 on the Friday of the Rapa.
bearing in mind the massive influx of visitors coming to Sabucedo throughout the first weekend of July.

The intention is to preserve the safety of holidaymakers visiting the Sabucedo fiesta and to cater for the thousands of people who come to the village that weekend, as well as the presence of horses crossing Sabucedo when they come down from the hills or when they are led to the Curro.

Only authorised vehicles with proper accreditation (available to residents and tradesmen on business) are allowed to drive through Sabucedo the days of the Fiesta.

Car Parks

People coming to the Fiesta by car should make use of the free vehicle parking area that the Rapa das Bestas Association sets up at the junction with the old road. Some private estates also offer car parking for a fee.

The Rapa das Bestas de Sabucedo Association provides several free car parking areas for all those who wish to use them.
